The Filipino Community Council of Queensland Inc. (FCCQ Inc.), trading as the Gold Coast Filipino Australian Cultural Ensemble (GCFACE), was formed from a shared vision to preserve, promote, and celebrate Filipino culture within Australia’s vibrant multicultural landscape.
Deeply rooted in tradition and driven by a strong sense of community, GCFACE brings together dedicated artists, cultural advocates, and volunteers committed to showcasing the richness and diversity of Filipino heritage. Through high-quality performances in dance, music, and storytelling, the ensemble delivers culturally significant experiences at community events, major festivals, and civic celebrations.
Our work goes beyond performance. We play a vital role in strengthening cultural identity, supporting intergenerational knowledge transfer, and fostering a sense of belonging among Filipino-Australians. At the same time, we actively contribute to social cohesion by creating inclusive spaces where diverse communities can connect, learn, and celebrate together.
As the Filipino-Australian community continues to grow, GCFACE remains a key cultural ambassador—building bridges across cultures, inspiring pride in heritage, and enriching the cultural fabric of the Gold Coast, Queensland, and Australia.
The mission is to uphold and share this rich heritage through the performing and creative arts, while fostering cultural awareness, education, and strong community connections.
The vision is to be proud custodians of Filipino culture, showcasing its beauty and diversity, and inspiring a deep sense of pride, identity, and belonging within our multicultural community.
We are dedicated to safeguarding and celebrating the rich traditions, stories, and artistic expressions of the Philippines. Through authentic cultural practice, we ensure these traditions are preserved, revitalised, and meaningfully shared with future generations.
We create inclusive and welcoming spaces that bring people together through shared cultural experiences. By fostering collaboration, participation, and cultural pride, we strengthen community connections and a sense of belonging.
We actively contribute to Australia’s multicultural identity by showcasing Filipino culture as a vibrant and valued part of the broader community. Our work promotes cross-cultural understanding, respect, and social cohesion.
We deliver accessible cultural learning opportunities through workshops, performances, and storytelling. These initiatives support lifelong learning, intergenerational knowledge transfer, and deeper appreciation of cultural heritage across diverse audiences.
Our Ensemble is a dynamic and inclusive collective of performers, volunteers, and community members united by a shared commitment to celebrating and sustaining Filipino culture. Representing diverse ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, our members—from experienced artists to individuals reconnecting with their heritage, contribute their talents, time, and passion to bring each performance and initiative to life.
Through active participation, mentorship, and collaboration, the ensemble fosters intergenerational connection, cultural pride, and a strong sense of belonging. It also provides meaningful pathways for community members to engage in the arts, develop skills, and contribute to a vibrant cultural ecosystem.
We warmly welcome individuals from all backgrounds who share an interest in Filipino culture, whether as performers, learners, volunteers, or supporters.
